Optare Versa V1100 #26

31 july 2009 - Bournemouth, Gervis Place. W przeciwieństwie do agnielskich kobiet, te wozy, mają na prawdę zgrabne tyłki ;)

Bristol LS6Gs / Eastern Coach Works #850

1953 - Bournemouth. Proszę o dodanie serii Bristol LS. Współczuję pasażerom tego autobusu- przez całą Wielką Brytanię jechać takim pojazdem. Fotografia ze zbiorów Wilts & Dorset.

Scania N230 / Optare Visionaire #1401

4 august 2009 - Bournemouth (UK) – Gervis Place. Find the bus? It’s actually the third of the three new open-top Scanias introduced by Wilts and Dorset this summer for the Line 50 service to Swanage.

Optare Versa V1100 #20

4 august 2009 - Bournemouth (UK) – Gervis Place. The first Yellow Buses Optare Versa seen on TWB – Transdev has ten of these with matching ‘TYB’ registration numbers. The main loading points here in central Bournemouth are always busy with Yellow and Wilts and Dorset bus services.

Volvo B7TL / East Lancs Myllennium Vyking #114

4 august 2009 - Bournemouth (UK) – Gervis Place. Later Volvo B7TLs in the Bournemouth fleet have this different East Lancs body style called the Mylennium.

Volvo B7TL / East Lancs Myllennium Vyking #423

4 august 2009 - Bournemouth (UK) – Gervis Place. A Volvo B7TL approaches the central bus loading point, seen from above. These big vehicles take 90 passengers – in rather more comfort than 90 people riding on a Konstal 105N.

Optare Solo M850 #2677

13 august 2009 - Bournemouth (UK) –Gervis Place. Another little Wilts and Dorset Optare. W & D runs the longer-distance bus services from Bournemouth and also competes with Yellow Buses on some of the urban and interurban routes.

ADL Dart SLF / ADL Pointer #506

13 august 2009 - Bournemouth (UK) – Bath Road. A Bournemouth Dart sweeps past the Central Pier with a service from the nearby town of Christchurch.

Volvo B7TL / East Lancs Myllennium Vyking #427

4 august 2009 - Bournemouth (UK) – Gervis Place. One of the many Bournemouth Volvos at the central bus loading point. The man in the blue coat with the cash bag and thick book of timetables is a conductor who patrols here all day, going from stop to stop – he sells tickets, making it easier for drivers and letting the buses get away quickly at busy times. This type of operation is very unusual in the UK these days.

Scania N230 / Optare Visionaire #1402

4 august 2009 - Bournemouth (UK) – Gervis Place. One of the three specially branded open-top convertibles, new this year for the Bournemouth to Swanage Line 50 service.

Leyland Tiger TS7/Beadle #F564

Leyland Olympian ON2R4 / Alexander #804

6 august 2009 - Bournemouth (UK) – Bath Road. We’ve met Shamrock here once before – they run school journeys, and also some normal bus services, in the area mostly using second-hand Leyland Olympians. Seat belts are fitted – just the thing for a quick bus ride to the shops (perhaps they have crazy drivers?).

Volvo B7TL / East Lancs Myllennium Vyking #428

13 august 2009 - Bournemouth (UK) – Bath Road. One of the many Yellow Buses Volvo double-deckers near the Central Pier on the sea front. This company runs very high frequency services across Bournemouth – up to 30 buses an hour in some places.

Volvo B7RLE / Wright Eclipse Urban #109

13 august 2009 - Bournemouth (UK) – Exeter Road. The Wilts and Dorset company runs some urban routes in Bournemouth as ‘More Buses’, in direct competition with Yellow Buses, the main town operator. This is Line m1, which runs between Bournemouth and Poole every three minutes at peak times – certainly more buses!

Dennis Lance #157

31 may 2008 - Bournemouth, Westover road

Bristol VR / Alexander #902

13 august 2008 - Bournemouth, UK - The Square. Two open-toppers together in central Bournemouth. A very gloomy summer day - hardly the right weather for a ride along the sea front.

Volvo B7TL / East Lancs Myllennium Vyking #420

13 august 2008 - Bournemouth, UK – The Square. A low-floor Volvo leaves the central bus station on local route 1c to the nearby town of Poole. Trolleybuses used to run here until the 1970s.

Leyland Olympian ON2R4 / Alexander #817

13 august 2008 - Bournemouth, UK - The Square. Phototrans debut. Shamrock Buses operates about forty buses on stage carriage and schools services around Bournemouth and Poole, including this Olympian that originated with Lothian buses, Edinburgh. Here, it leads a mixture of different buses, run by different operators, into the central bus station. My wife is in the left with all the bags, looking for me, as I have escaped from shopping to take photos!

DAF Palantine 2 / Northern Counties #3157

13 august 2008 - Bournemouth, UK - The Square. Even on a very wet day such as this, British people don’t care about the weather and still ride on the open top deck, like these idiots! Wilts and Dorset (a very old and traditional company name in this area, but now a new operator) runs the long-distance routes in and out of Bournemouth. This bus has come along the south coast from Swanage.

Bristol VR / ECW #901

13 august 2008 - Bournemouth, Dorset, UK - Hinton Road. The third of three open-top double deck buses operating the Yellow Buses Sea Front service (Line 12) in summer 2008. This one formerly operated in normal service with Crosville Motor Services (a major operator in North Wales) before being converted to open-top configuration.

Bristol VR / Alexander #902

13 august 2008 - Bournemouth, Dorset, UK - The Square. Bristol VR 902 formerly worked in the City of Cardiff before being converted to open-top configuration. Bournemouth's small fleet of open-toppers are hired in for the summer season, although this was not a good day to be riding a bus with no roof - a typical English summer day, in fact!

Leyland Fleetline / Alexander AL #903

13 august 2008 - Bournemouth, Dorset, UK - The Square. Only the English are crazy enough to run open-top buses in the rain! This Leyland Fleetline (a Daimler design, actually) was originally a Bournemouth bus, then went to Swindon before being put back into service in Bournemouth on the seasonal Sea Front service. The operator (Transdev) hires this and two similar Bristol open-top buses from an associated company.

Mercedes-Benz O530 #165

31 may 2008 - Bournemouth, Gervis Pl. Nie potrafię znaleźć danych przewoźnika, więc na razie pojazd trafia w ręce konkurenta - firmę Transdev. Ciekawostka - http://www.bournemouth-buses.co.uk/
